We may surmise the town of Ohio, NY doesn’t issue such orders formally very often.
This New York State trooper was awaiting the arrival of the bicyclist with a message from McCaig.
The message as I understood it is:
McCaig doesn’t want me operating my camera on McCaig road frontage because McCaig occasionally has young children in McCaig’s yard, and I might be a pedophile. – really –
The trooper offered no evidence to support this ostensible suspicion. McCaig can be as suspicious as he wishes. But if James W. McCaig is sincerely concerned about the welfare of his associates, that’s McCaig’s issue to address and resolve. Infringing or usurping my Constitutional rights is not appropriate.
I suspect most laymen understand that. Though this occurred years ago, still not clear to me what rationale the trooper was applying to deliver such a conspicuously absurd message, counseling me about breaking no law ?!
If McCaig was genuinely concerned he could install a fence. That would both confine his dog, and any young children playing in his yard,
It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to understand why a criminal as dangerous as James W. McCaig would not want more, and more, and more evidence collected documenting McCaig’s multi-year, violent crime spree.
What I find alarming is that the New York State police would allow themselves to play errand boy to the most dangerous violent serial criminal in Justice Shawn Fleming’s jurisdiction that I know of, despite the fact our courts have already ruled that operating a camera in public is protected by Article #1 of our Constitution’s Bill of Rights.
If curious, this brief interaction with NYSP did not alter the video documentation of these McCaig road frontage transits.

The events disclosed at McCaig.Info occurred over most of a decade, in rural central New York State.
It borders on scientific / statistical likelihood that sociopaths comprise a small but perhaps somewhat consistent, thus predictable fraction of the per capita population.
McCaig.Info documents the affects of one such dangerous violent serial criminal on my rural neighborhood.
That’s an obvious burden, but perhaps not the greatest surprise to me.
What has blind-sided me is not merely government dereliction, but deliberate willful collusion by an array of petty government officials that have each done whatever it was necessary to do to keep McCaig’s violent, human life threatening crime spree going year after year. Each of these corrupt government officials have betrayed the law abiding tax payers that pay their salaries. And in so doing they collude with the most dangerous violent serial criminal in Justice Fleming’s jurisdiction *.
If that disclosure were in in any way inaccurate these government officials have an obligation to set the record straight, to find factual fault with the material presented for public notice at McCaig.Info
We can acknowledge the conspicuous absence of any such government action as tacet acknowledgement that though obviously unflattering, to my knowledge they have not denied, and cannot refute the facts made public here.
If there’s any question, I’ll be delighted to let the jury decide.
Meaning: law court proceedings are their specialty.
My offer to them:
a) fix it. Contain the McCaig danger, or
b) address their concerns to me directly, in a court of law, under oath, under penalty of perjury.
That would be a contest at their own game, giving them home field advantage, and they know it. And they refuse to challenge me on it because they know they will lose.
Meanwhile at 2:19PM Dec. 27, 2023 it’s 46F, 8C, overcast, and moist.
Without the violent crime spree, life here is quite enjoyable.

* I had a brief but uninspired conversation with Justice Fleming on that detail. Fleming did not deny the severity of McCaig’s violent crime spree, but suggested over the previous century there may have been a murderer within our jurisdiction. In that case McCaig would only be the second worst? In a century? 4 human generations?
In any case I’ve been here for decades. I cannot name any criminal in this jurisdiction other than McCaig, and the petty government officials that have done everything required to enable McCaig to continue his multi-year human life threatening violent crime spree unfettered.
